This event is classified as 16+ this means that anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult over the age of 18 (adult refers to a parent, guardian or older relative that is responsible for the care and actions of the under 18 year old). The ratio for adult to child is classed as: one adult can accompany two under 18’s at an event.

Please note, this is a standing event. Disabled access tickets are available on a first come, first served basis via AXS only.

Accessible Ticket Definition

General Admission Accessible + Companion
This is a ticket giving access to the general admission area. When these tickets are purchased, they also include a complimentary ticket for a personal assistant / companion. These tickets do not give access to seating, or the accessible platform area.

Accessible Platform + Companion
This is a ticket giving access to the accessible platform and includes a complimentary ticket for a personal assistant / companion or carer. There is space on the platform for wheelchairs and some seating is also provided.

Prepare for the South’s largest celebration of reggae as the Margate Reggae Festival brings an unforgettable day of music, culture, and positive vibes to Dreamland Margate on Saturday, 12th July 2025.

UB40 featuring Ali Campbell, the undisputed icons of UK reggae, lead the festival’s extraordinary gathering of reggae royalty and rising stars. With Ali’s unmistakable voice, which helped sell over 70 million records and deliver more than 50 UK chart hits, this show promises to deliver the authentic UB40 magic that has been captivating audiences for decades.

The first line-up announcement is packed with reggae legends and trailblazers who represent the genre’s rich history, including reggae-fusion star Maxi Priest, and pioneers of the 2 Tone ska revival The Selecter. The legendary Mad Professor, a key figure in dub reggae’s second generation, and Trojan Sound System, an institution in British sound system culture, will also join.

British reggae icon Bitty McLean, known for his soulful lovers’ rock, joins alongside Birmingham’s celebrated artist Pato Banton, one of reggae’s original queens Dawn Penn, and leading roots reggae and dub ensemble, Real Roots. Jungle pioneer Congo Natty will take to the stage alongside UK veteran General Levy. Throughout the day, Rompa’s Reggae Shack will keep the energy high with a mix of reggae, dub, dancehall, and jungle.

southeastern trains

Dreamland is just 5 minutes’ walk from Margate train station and is regularly served by Southeastern High Speed services travelling to/from London St Pancras as well trains from London Victoria. The train from London St Pancras takes 90 minutes and a little longer from Victoria, and it’s just 50 minutes from Ashford International station.

Summer Nights & Later Trains
No need to stress about getting home from our 2025 epic outdoor live music events!
With Southeastern scheduling later trains to coincide with the summer season line up at Dreamland, you can ditch the car and take the train instead.
Train tickets for summer dates go on sale early 2025, more details will follow soon, so keep your eyes peeled to our channels.

Southeastern have a number of ways to save on your train tickets including:

  • If you are travelling as a group of 3-9 adults, you could save up to 34% on tickets with their GroupSave tickets.
  • Southeasterns Advance tickets go on sale 12 weeks before the booking date and the earlier you book, the cheaper the ticket could be.
  • With Kids for a Quid tickets, you pay just £1 each for up to four children when you travel with them Off-Peak.
