There’s loads in store for you to enjoy during holidays and weekends this year, so read on to discover more…
From the top, we’ve got a great line up of vintage amusement park rides featuring established classics such as the Waltzer and Whirl A Round alongside last year’s frightfully fun Ghost Train.
Due to popular demand, the Dodgem Track with its superfast cars makes a welcome return and would-be Top Guns will love the Hurricane Jets. Meanwhile, younger riders will squeal with glee as they try out the Austin Cars and Double Decker!
New for ’22 there will be plenty of giggles provided by our lovingly restored vintage Funny Mirrors with over 20 assorted shapes. And the heritage Helter Skelter will be top of the list for all those avid sliders out there.
For the Dreamland aficionados the Big Wheel is also set to make a return later this year, so keep your eyes peeled for further news on its 2022 appearance dates.
But, Dreamland isn’t just about the rides – there’s plenty more fun in store as the Roller Disco is back from Monday 30th May. Grab your skates and your mates to throw some shapes as you whoosh around to excellent tunes.
What’s more, the retro arcade will be alive with the sound of all your favourite games and of course, there’s prizes to be won too! Talking of prizes, back out on the park you’ll also discover loads of fun midway games such as hook a duck alongside a brand-new Pirates of Margate Bay water squirt game.
Oh, did we mention art? This year, there’s a whole host of brand-new interactive art installations dotted around, with even more coming soon. Check out our Instagrammable Ice Cream and follow our colourful seagull trail paying homage to our unofficial Margate mascots. Later, the ‘Merry Go Whoa’ will offer a delightful place to chill.
All this fun is bound to work up an appetite, so let’s talk food. This year, you’ll be spoilt for choice as we welcome some of Kent’s best street food traders to our busy Food Court. There’s burgers and dogs dished up by the team from Rad Burger, alongside pizzas crafted and topped with all your favourites by the folks from Ovesu Van. And, as you’re beside the seaside, why not get your fish n chip fix with a twist, from Ocean’s Fish N Fries Seafood Bar.
In food related news, the gang from Fond Coffee will be taking over our Roller Café, so expect delicious treats and morish snacks and of course great coffee and tea blends. Meanwhile, on the seafront, the renowned Cinque Ports will be open, serving Mexican inspired dishes to hip hop beats courtesy of International Wrap Artists.
