This year we have decided to continue operating flexible hours at Dreamland, opening our outdoor park and great line up of rides, alongside the amusement arcade and retro Roller Disco at weekends and holidays.  You can find out what’s going on and plan your visit here
The rides are operated on a pay per ride basis rather than a wristband, as we found that many of our visitors did not want to pay to ride everything and would prefer to just pay for the rides they wanted to experience. The majority of rides are priced at 1 token per person, whilst The Scenic Railway is 2 tokens per person and you can find out more here
We have kept our popular free to enter model in operation as we know that Dreamland’s atmosphere is at its best when the site is busy with high volumes of visitors, freely coming and going back and forth to the beach and the Old Town, during their day in Margate.

All the food and drink outlets at Dreamland accept contactless and card payments.

We do not offer refunds or exchanges on event tickets. If the park is closed on the day you had booked to visit, or an event is cancelled, our Guest Services team will be in touch with you. If you have booked your tickets through a ticket agent (e.g. AXS, See Tickets, DICE, Resident Advisor, Skiddle), please refer to your ticket or email confirmation for further information on their cancellation policy and contact details.

You must be over 14 to be able to enter our park alone. Children under the age of 14 are to be accompanied by an adult aged 16+. Age restrictions for ticketed events may vary, please check the specific information per event.

No, there is no storage for buggies on site.

Dreamland is free to enter for everyone and our rides are operated on a pay per ride basis with tokens available at the token booths on the park.  We operate a policy where carers, personal assistants or companions can ride for free provided they are accompanying A PAYING child or adult with accessible needs on the same ride.  We do ask for the following forms of identification / documentation at the token booths so please do bring these with you:

  • A certified NHS letter from your doctor or consultant clearly stating why you are eligible for a companion pass.
  • A letter from a professional body (e.g. Nurse, Bupa Healthcare Advisor etc) clearing stating why you are eligible for a companion pass.
  • A DLA, DWP or PIP letter stating you are entitled to a companion pass.
  • A National Carer & Disability card or Nimbus Disability card.

Please note that both carer and the adult / child with access needs should present their wristband given to them at the token booth, to the ride operator prior to getting on the ride.
Bands distributed at the token booth to carers and the adult / child they are with, are void if tampered with or transferred to another person.

SOME RIDES  MAY NOT BE SUITABLE FOR CERTAIN GUESTS AND THE RIDE OPERATORS WILL ADVISE AT EACH RIDE. REFUSAL ON THE GROUNDS OF HEALTH AND SAFETY DOES NOT CONSTITUTE DISCRIMINATION.

Find out more and plan your visit by checking out our accessibility policy here

Visit our Rides section on our website for more details on our line up this year. We’ve included applicable height restrictions in the descriptions of the rides. Find out more here.

Yes! It was not the wood that was listed it was the structure, design and location of the railway. It has been lovingly re-built under the watchful eye of English Heritage.

The Whip and the Corbiere Wheel are being stored by our partners at The Dreamland Heritage Trust for future development.

During wet weather conditions it may be necessary to temporarily close some of our rides and in cases of high winds the Big Wheel. If this happens, we will do everything within our power to open these rides as soon possible.

Please refer to our Accessibility page for information.

Anyone under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult.

We offer shoes all the way down to a kids size 8.
