Information for Local Residents
Dreamland is committed to supporting the local community and working closely with our neighbours.
Dreamland turns 100 and in 2020, and we are hosting a range of events in Margate this year. The park is now free to enter, and we have a huge number of free events planned for 2020 which we hope you will come and enjoy.
Throughout the year we will be sharing essential updates with you, our local residents, both on this page and by post so you have all the information you need about any potential impact that the events may have.
We are working in close partnership with Thanet District Council, Kent County Council and the Emergency Services to ensure our park activity complies with all Licences and Permissions.
We are always happy to talk to you, our neighbours and value your feedback about our programme and our communications. If you have any concerns or queries, please get in touch via the form below.
On 4th & 5th July – Dreamland will be holding a 2 day weekend festival in July with a daily capacity of 15,000. We are working with the Local Authority to minimise any disruption to the surrounding areas. There will be additional planning measures installed around these days to ensure the safe movement of our guests and the public. All of the details regarding these measures will be released well in advance of the event.
Large scale events like this enable us to showcase Margate and Dreamland to much larger audiences, which results in increased visitor spend and interest in the town and a sustainable future for Dreamland and other local businesses. We hope you will join us in celebrating this event, and we will be in touch soon with extra information on what to do that weekend.
