DJ Hype is legendary on the DJ circuit, having been an early DJ on London’s pirate station Fantasy FM and now one of Kiss 100’s main attractions, landing awards for Best Male DJ and Best Radio DJ at the U.K.'s Hardcore Awards along the way. Known for his jump up DJ sets, headlining and smashing up dancefloors at the monthly Playaz night at Fabric.
DJ Hazard shot to drum & bass fame after being noticed and snapped up by D&B legend DJ Hype while producing tracks for DJ SS’ Formation Records. There began a partnership that has rocketed DJ Hazard to the very top of his game, both in terms of producing immense dancefloor destroying tracks, and his own career as a DJ which has seen him travel the globe.
Randall’s head was turned by Acid House for the first time at 1987’s Notting Hill Carnival and he’s been hooked ever since. A true legend of the scene, his career has seen him playing at the ‘Delirium’ crew’s warehouse parties in Stratford, grabbing a spot on the legendary East London pirate radio station Centreforce, and picking up a residency at ‘Orange’ at the Rocket Club in London. Aside from his legendary live performances, Randall has been commissioned by Mixmag, Drum & Bass Arena, Dreamscape, Ministry of Sound/AWOL and many others for studio mixes.
Limited by name but certainly not limited by talent, Billy Smith is a producer with a very promising future. He was born at a time when the likes of Dillinja, Fabio & Grooverider and Nicky Blackmaket were shaping the drum & bass scene. Now, to his amazement, those undisputed legends of the genre are supporting his tunes. If you listen to his releases so far, including the highly-acclaimed The Beginning EP's, it’s obvious that he’s not afraid of switching things up.
Jake Carter, AKA Sub Zero, has been an unstoppable force within drum & bass for almost a decade. After building respect within the scene as one half of acclaimed Geordie jump up duo G-Dub, his solo output since 2009 has seen Sub Zero smash out some of D&Bs most destructive releases, from his tear-out debut ‘Spin Doc’ to ‘Poon’, nominated Best Track of the Year at the Drum&BassArena Awards.
Eks marks the spot! Multi-award-winning master of ceremonies, and the man behind the massive Overload & Next Hype parties, Eksman’s story is stuff of legend… breaking through into the drum & bass scene in the mid 90s, Eksman is largely regarded as the king of the new breed MCs and remains a huge inspiration for the next generation, as proved by his many Best MC accolades and consecutive Best Lyrical MC titles, spanning over 20 years scored from various D&B ceremonies.
