Purchasing Wristbands/Dream Passes

A guest with a disability is entitled to 1 free carer. You may be entitled to additional free carers if your documentation states clearly the need for more than 1 carer. Any additional members in your party will be required to pay the full price.

To qualify for the free carer pass, carers will need to be accompanied by the individual that requires their care at all times whilst on site. As a result the carer must be prepared to go on all attractions that the guest with disabilities rides.

Documentation is required to support all applications and Dreamland reserve the right to refuse a complimentary carers ticket to anyone who does not show appropriate documentation. You will need to provide one of the following forms of documentation:

  • A certified NHS Letter from your doctor or consultant clearly stating why you are eligible for this policy (Dated within the last 12 months).
  • A letter from a professional body (e.g. Nurse, Bupa Healthcare Advisor) clearly stating why you are eligible for this policy (Dated within the last 12 months).
  • A DLA, DWP or PIP letter stating you are entitled to Lower or Higher rate mobility allowance – no other letters will be accepted (Dated within the last 12 months).
  • Max Card – Proof of Identity will be required.

Please note Blue Badges will NOT be accepted for a carer wristband.

For safety reasons, the number of guests with disabilities riding at any one time may be limited. Groups may be divided and there could be a wait before riding.

Cast, Air Boot and Splint

Due to health & safety reasons those with a cast, air boot or splint are unable to enjoy a large proportion of our attractions.

Casts on the joint (i.e. Knee or Elbow) will be unable to ride our attractions. Casts that are below the joint (i.e. Arm) will be able to enjoy a limited number of rides, however we advise anyone with a cast to avoid using our attractions until the injury is fully recovered.

Please be aware it is down to the Rides Team discretion and any cast they deem unsuitable will be unable to ride the attraction.

Any obstruction or reduction of the functionality of the restraints cannot be accepted. As a result obstructive casts or slings that cannot be removed will be unable to ride some of our attractions.

If you are using crutches you may use them to get up onto the ride platforms however may not be taken onto any of our attractions. Please consider your capabilities to evacuate the ride should the need arise.

Total discretion is down to our Rides Team, we recommend anyone with a cast or sling to purchase a Dream Pass as opposed to a Wristband due to the restricted ride availability. We are unable to offer refunds after purchase.

We apologise that Air Boots will not be accepted on any ride.

Slings must be taken off to enjoy our attractions and must be confident to brace yourself for the attraction.

Membership

Guests with a disability are entitled to a free carer. As a result, a Dreamland member is entitled to bring a carer free of charge providing they bring the above documentation. To claim this simply present this at the Welcome Desk to the Guest Experience Team.
