EIGHT THINGS YOU MIGHT EXPERIENCE AT MINEVENTION

EIGHT THINGS YOU MIGHT EXPERIENCE AT MINEVENTION

Minecraft maniacs and Fortnite fans assemble!

Minecraft is known for its infinite-worlds of different landscapes – icy mountains, swamps, vast open fields and much more. And so, what better place to host a programme of packed Minecraft events, than our cavernous-cove of Minecraft wonderment by the sea!

On Saturday 9th and 10th March, there will be so much to do at MineVention for Minecraft lovers and Fortnite fans big and small. But what should you expect from a weekend that takes the online world into the offline (and then back online again)?

Being part of a world-record breaking attempt

On Saturday 9th March at 1pm, MineVention will try and break their own record of assembling 337 Minecraft ‘Steve’s in one place – Dreamland! You don’t have to be a ticket holder to take part, but you will need to check out the rules for qualifying.

Battling to win V-Bucks on the Razer Bus

There will be Fortnite tournaments running throughout the day – hop on board the mean-green #RazerBus and win V-Bucks as you battle it out live online! For the first time at Dreamland, the online gaming phenomenon Fortnite will be pulling into the park on the iconic Razer Gaming Bus and running free tournaments throughout the event.

Putting your skills on show

Get creative and battle it out live on stage with other attendees. Equally as much fun to watch, spectators are never disappointed as they can see the battle played out on the big screen. Each participant is asked to build an item from a chosen theme in a set amount of time. Ready, set, build!

A Q&A with your favourite gaming YouTuber

The Main Stage at MineVention sees the YouTubers and guests take to the stage for Q&A sessions throughout the event.

You’re invited to ask questions of your favourite stars, whether it’s “what is your favourite block to use?”, “who will you be collaborating with in the future?”, or “how did you come up with your YouTuber name?”.

We will hear from YouTubers TycerX and FalseSymmetry as well as YouTube animators and artists, Element Animation.

Minecraft Activities

Whether it’s creating a boxhead masterpiece that you’ve purchased from the MineVention Merch booth or colouring in our cool colouring sheets with the younger children, our craft activities will have something for all ages. We provide all the pens, glue and scissors and you take away the end result!

A Costume Contest

At MineVention, participants are encouraged to get creative and make their very own Minecraft costumes that they can bring along to the event.  The most dedicated costume creators will be deservedly awarded a prize – so you better dress to impress…

On-Stage Contests

If fancy dress isn’t your thing, don’t worry – there will be plenty of opportunities to have fun and win prizes – from dance-offs to creator challenges, Q&A panels and more.

Whether you’re up on stage with us or cheering the participants on from the audience, the MineVention main stage content promises endless fun for everyone. Even the most reserved members of the family will want to join in with everyone on stage and let loose.

And – of course – Minecraft Tournaments!

The Tournament area at MineVention is always a hugely popular attraction with attendees. This dedicated area is fully kitted out with custom-built games playable on PC for up to twenty players at once. The Tournament area is a truly unique way for attendees to connect with each other and get some full-throttle fun from the multiplayer mode.

MineVention takes place on Saturday 9th & Sunday 10th March at Dreamland Margate. Sessions take place from 9am-1pm, and 2pm-6pm.

Tickets are £15 each plus booking fee in advance.
