Buxton, beloved podcaster, jingle auteur and GarageBand veteran, may never be a rockstar, but that didn’t stop him fantasising about making “a valuable contribution to pop music”. When Decca Records approached Buxton about making a debut album (five years ago!) the label didn’t realise they were dealing with a “master of self-deluded overcomplication”.

Buxton has created an album and a live show (featuring members of Metronomy) that inhabits his natural domain: somewhere between heartfelt and silly.
