  • Acts announced for the ticketed evening event include Big Narstie and Oxide & Neutrino, who will perform on the outdoor Scenic Stage.

24th May 2018

One of the UK’s most successful grime artists, Big Narstie, will headline Dreamland’s outdoor Scenic Stage on Saturday 21st July with a supporting line-up including classic garage act, Oxide & Neutrino and Jammz.

The start of the summer holidays will see the park transformed into a New York-style street party as the first ever Dreamland Block Party takes place. The event blends music, street style, dance and sports.

During the day

Professional BMX flatland rider and three-time Guinness World Record Holder Matti Hemmings will be presenting a BMX competition. Designer to the stars, Siobhan Hogan, will be fronting an interactive marketplace and there will be DJs and MCs playing funk and soul, rap and hip-hop.

B.supreme will be leading hip-hop dancing and Yo! Street Zone will be teaching football skills throughout the event. Pie Factory Music will also be hosting activities in song writing, recording and DJ workshops.

Also set to entertain the crowds and described as “London’s premiere hip-hop party” are The Doctor’s Orders, who will also be at the park for a feel-good history of hip-hop DJ set. With regular events at Fabric, East Village, The Jazz Café and Scala to name a few, their previous guests have included De La Soul and Jazzy Jeff.

All daytime activities are included within park entry.

Evening event

In the evening, Tyrone Lindo, aka Big Narstie, takes to the outdoor Scenic Stage. Narstie has collaborated with the likes of Ed Sheeran, Professor Green and Coldplay and was awarded ‘Song of the Year’ by RWD magazine for ‘Brushman’. Known for his YouTube videos as well as his musical endeavours, Narstie has become one of the most successful English grime artists of contemporary times.

DJ and MC duo Oxide and Neutrino, perhaps best known for their hits ‘Bound 4 Da Reload’ and ‘No Good 4 Me’ will also take to the stage, as well as grime MC and record producer, Jammz.

Jess du Preez, Event Producer at Dreamland said: “The Dreamland Block Party is going to be a really diverse and exciting event, particularly for young people. We’ve got lots planned including sports, music and dance, and given that it’s the first day of the summer holidays, we’re expecting a great atmosphere!”
