Following the huge popularity of 2017’s ‘Battle of the Bands’ competition at the park, Dreamland Margate today announces ‘Dreamland Introducing’; an all new opportunity for local musicians, DJs and producers to compete to win a yearlong mentorship with industry professionals, as well as support slots at Dreamland’s music shows.
Acts selected will compete in heats throughout the summer on Dreamland’s outdoor Scenic Stage to be in with a chance of being crowned the Dreamland Introducing Winner. Each week, winners will be selected by special guest judges who will be announced soon.
Dreamland Introducing takes place on Sunday afternoons (22 & 29 July, 12 & 19 August) with the final on 2 September. Anyone aged 16 – 25 can enter the competition. Access to Dreamland Introducing will be included within park entry.
Victoria Barrow-Williams, Education and Community Officer at Dreamland Margate said: “Dreamland Introducing is a great opportunity for musicians and performers! Here at Dreamland we are passionate about giving local creatives a platform and to support their artistic endeavours. Last year’s Battle of the Bands was a great success with lots of people from the local community getting involved. We are really looking forward to seeing what the acts of 2018 have in store!”
