Dreamland Margate has got the summer holidays sorted! Get set for a packed line up of cutting-edge entertainment and a day out with a difference by the beach. From 21st July, the peak season begins and the park will present a weekly programme of free events and entertainment throughout the summer holidays.
Mondays mean magic; with pop-up shows and workshops around the park. Tuesdays will have sports and games, including street football skills coaching and family fun with move and groove dance workshops for youngsters and their parents.
Wednesdays bring the very best live circus acts in association with The Coasters Touring Network, including: Dizzy O’Dare’s Giant Balloon Show, Le Cirque du Platzak – think acrobatics, fire and much more, and the Strong Lady, who displays exhilarating feats of strength performed with elegance.
Thursdays are family focused and include a blockbuster line-up of special guest appearances by favourite TV characters including Peppa Pig and Family, PAW Patrol and Octonauts, as well as other pop-up entertainment acts throughout the park.
The Sunset Sessions continue into summer and are extended to Fridays and Saturdays, giving guests the chance to ride, dine and dance with live music and entertainment from 7pm and the park staying open until 10pm.
Acts taking to the Scenic Stage over the summer include Sam and The Womp, The Correspondents, Dub Pistols, Trojan Sound System, Sister Bliss from Faithless and there’s an indie DJ battle with The Charlatans’ Tim Burgess versus Blur’s Dave Rowntree.
Free to enter, Dreamland’s Sunset Sessions are a great way for visitors to spend their night or end their day; with a huge range of delicious street food on offer at The Friendliest Food Court Ever and bars including the Treetop Bar and Slide Bar to enjoy. The park will offer unlimited ride wristbands at £12.50 for Big Kids (over 1.25m) and £9.00 for Little Kids (under 1.25m). Free tickets to the sunset sessions are bookable in advance online.
Continuing the music line-up throughout the summer will be the Battle of the Bands. Taking place on Sundays, the best musical talent around will compete on the Scenic Stage to become the inaugural champions.
Ticketed events for the summer include the exciting arrival of the World’s Biggest Bouncy Castle and the return of the daredevil motorcycle attraction - Messham’s Wall of Death.
With 6 weeks of unmissable daily entertainment and events at Dreamland, it’s going to be a spectacular summer!

Notes to editors
Dreamland Margate is considered to be the oldest-surviving amusement park in Great Britain: the site of Dreamland (as it was re-named in 1920) dates back to the British railway boom and the early 1870s when, in its original form, the ‘Hall by the Sea’ was operated by the circus tycoon, ‘Lord’ George Sanger.
Following a £25 million investment from Arrowgrass Capital Parners, Dreamland reopened in May 2017. The park has been re-landscaped and has meticulously restored vintage rides, world-class entertainment spaces, modern interactive art installations, contemporary street food, eclectic bars, live entertainment, with a backdrop of Margate beach. It is less than 90 minutes from London by train with Margate Station only a 5-minute walk away.
Escape the city this summer. Until 25 August, the Southeastern trains summer offer includes thousands of advance Off-Peak day return tickets from London Terminals to Margate from £10 – perfect for a visit to Dreamland. For more info visit southeasternrailway.co.uk.
