DJ and record producer Roni Size to play Dreamland’s Scenic Stage
Summer’s coming and Dreamland Margate’s music line-up is hotting up. The amusement park announces today that drum’n’bass royalty, DJ and record producer Roni Size will take to its outdoor Scenic Stage on 25th August. Roni will perform a special live anniversary version of his Mercury Prize-winning album ‘New Forms’, which brought drum’n’bass to the forefront of dance music news.
Through the white heat of rave and the founding moments of jungle and drum’n’bass, to transforming underground electronic music into something that could be played by a live band on the biggest arena and festival stages, Roni Size has created an entire methodology of how music can be made.
Having played countless international festivals and collaborated with some of the biggest names in music, Roni will bring his ground-breaking new audio and visual live show - a combined live instrument and hardware show that features state of the art production and 3D effect projection mapping, to Margate.
The 20th anniversary re-release of New Forms in 2017 garnered huge support with rave reviews and multiple plays on BBC Radio 1 and BBC Radio 1 Xtra and with new music coming this year, the sky is the limit for Roni Size as he cements his position at the top of the game.
Tickets go on general sale at 10am via dreamland.co.uk on Thursday 12th April, with tickets starting at £15 plus booking fee.
Dreamland will host an official after party taking place in Hall by the Sea with legendary drum’n’bass and jungle producer and DJ Ray Keith. He will perform alongside LSB and DJ Oblivion until 2am. Tickets start at £7 plus booking fee (for the after party only) or £25 plus booking fee with a Roni Size general admission ticket. Tickets will go on general sale at 10am on Thursday 12th April via dreamland.co.uk.
