Part of Roller Coast Festival – Dreamland’s summer of family fun

Take your skillz to the streets with dance workshops, BMX stunts, football tournaments, fashion battles and daytime block party with Fun DMC during our Street Fest Week!

All shows and activities are taking place in the food court or Scenic Stage, any exceptions have the locations included in the listing.

Look out for our park mascots Teddy & Betty and the crazy Mother Funners popping up daily on park to make your day at Dreamland extra dreamy, and flashmobs around the park from Wisewoods Dance.

Entry to the park is free, and you can save 25% on ride wristbands by booking online, up to 24hrs in advance.

B.Supreme Dance Workshops

12-1pm: A daily 60 minute workshop featuring a different dancer/practitioner each day, teaching different hip hop dance styles ; breaking, popping, house, hip hop

Ages: All ages & experience

1pm-2pm: A daily 60 minute workshop teaching battle skills such as top rock, poses, freezes, swagger and stances. Led by legendary UK Bgirl Sunanda Biswas (Tuesday/Thursday/Friday) and UK based Finnish Bgirl Tanja Kuurola (Monday/Wednesday), participants will leave the workshop with a new swagger…..There will be an opportunity for participants to take their new skills to the stage on Saturday for a ‘mock’ battle.

Mini Fashion Rebels - Badge Making

Join the Mini Fashion Rebels team for a creative badge making workshop and walk away with a super fun, custom pin badge! You will get the chance to design and produce individual metal backed pin badges, using a variety of techniques and recycled materials. Workshops are drop in and open to all - no skill level is required, and our main focus is fun!

Panna Arena & Yo! Street Zone Cup

Step in one of our 3 cage arenas and challenge some of the UK's best panna players in 1v1 matches. Experience the fun & creative side of football!

There will be FA trained coaches delivering sessions on football skills as well as competitions.

On Friday 16th Dreamland will host the Yo Street Zone Tournament with DJ Skelton bring the vibes to the cages.

Pie Factory presents Young Producers Live Performances

The Young Producers from Pie Factory have been working with the Pie Factory music creative team over the past year producing their own music events in Thanet, as part of Pie Factory’s Thanet Emerging Artist Programme.

For Street Week the Young producers have been tasked with producing an hour of music and entertainment on the Scenic Stage.

Thursday Cinema Club: Hairspray (PG)

It’s 1962 in Baltimore, and teenager Tracy Turnblad loves to dance. After landing a spot on the coolest TV dance show in town, she realises that everyone has a lot to learn about overcoming prejudice – and she’s gonna teach them a thing or two!

AEE Recordings presents Mixtape #1 Live Performances

Arts Education Exchange, ?a youth organisation based in Margate has recruited young people aged 13 - 25 from across Thanet to learn how to write, produce, mix and release a finished track from scratch. Funded by the Big Lottery Fund, Arts Council England and Fender, ?AEE Recordings is a pioneering youth led creative movement putting young people at the forefront of the decision making.

Teamed up with professional artists and producers who have worked with Polydor Records, Universal Music Publishing, Virgin/EMI Records, young people have collaborated over 6 months to create a compilation album? 'Mixtape #1'?.

Sunday Family Film: Space Jam (U)

The Looney Tunes are in trouble! If they don’t win a basketball match against some less-than-friendly aliens, they’re doomed to be enslaved in an intergalactic amusement park. Luckily, retired basketball champion Michael Jordan is on hand to train them up. It’s time for the Tune Squad to shoot some hoops!
