Hello and Happy New Year. At Dreamland we are kicking off 2018 with our shiny new blog! Here you can expect to find out more about what’s on and the park, as well as getting an exclusive insight into things behind the scenes.

There’s a lot coming up at Dreamland this year; including the introduction of - wait for it - even more rides! But we’ll save that for another post...

The amusement park reopens in time for Easter on March 30th, however, there’s plenty going throughout our undercover areas in the mean time.

GEEK

GEEK, our huge festival of play and gaming, is back during February half term. There will be hundreds of games, from old favourites spanning the generations to virtual reality experiences, there’ll be something for everyone to enjoy and get involved in.  This year’s theme is space and we’ll be celebrating the 40th anniversary of the arcade classic, Space Invaders! Find out more about what’s happening at GEEK and get your tickets here: GEEK2018.

We have already lined up lots of music events to look forward to this year. A hot ticket at the moment is The Selecter and The Beat, who play the Hall by the Sea on February 24th.  The Selecter are one of the most successful ska bands of the 2 Tone era, having notched up several top 40 singles in the British charts. The Beat’s music fuses ska, pop, soul, reggae and punk rock, with hits such as ‘Mirror in the Bathroom’ and ‘Can’t Get Used to Losing You’. This double dose of ska will have you dancing non-stop to feel-good hits. Tickets: TheBeatTheSelecter.

Also recently announced are the Levellers, who play the Hall by the Sea on June 14th. Tickets: LevellersDreamland.

The festival line-up for 2018 so far includes Undercover Festival UndercoverFestival18 headlined by Sham 69 and The Blockheads.

There’s also Hipsville Jungle A Go Go! HipsvilleJungle the perfect party to go ape at!

And don’t forget, our super retro Roller Disco and our indoor soft-play area for under 8s, The Octopus’s Garden, are open all year round. Visit dreamland.co.uk for opening times.
