FIVE WAYS TO KEEP ENTERTAINED THIS TWIXMAS

FIVE WAYS TO KEEP ENTERTAINED THIS TWIXMAS

We’re all feeling as stuffed as a Christmas turkey so we’ve put together a little guide on how to get active and entertained in Margate in the Christmas holidays

1. A blustery beach walk

It may be cold outside but is there anything better for blowing away the cobwebs (or walking off the over indulgence) than a wintery walk on Margate beach? Wrap up warm and take the dog if you have one as they can also roam the beach freely during the winter months.

2. Festive Insta spots

There’s some fabulous Christmas decorations and shop windows around town so take a stroll and tick your favourites off our list. Our top five Instagram shots to get while you’re out and about are:

  1. Turner Contemporary Christmas Tree
  2. Dreamland’s GIANT Snowglobe
  3. The winter sun shining on  The Harbour Arm.
  4. Little Bit Margate’s rainbow Christmas Tree
  5. A photo of Cliffs, Sprankenstein Studio window display.

Make sure you tag @dreamlandmargate if you manage to grab all five!

3. Family game time

Bored of board games? Fed up of Fortnite? There’s some great games to try around Margate! How about taking on an escape room at CTRL ALT ESC or The Escapement, retro video and family games at Margate’s all new gaming café Digi Diner, or popping along to the Games Room at Dreamland to have some fun with the giant Jenga, air hockey and Pinball machines.

4. Get your skates on!

Step Inside at Dreamland is open until 10pm every day until 31 December.  Skate in the retro rink and enjoy some delicious diner treats while you watch sports on the new big screen in our Holiday Hangout.

5. It’s Panto season (oh no it isn’t)!

Pantomime Season is on and Wicked Productions are back at the Theatre Royal Margate this year with Jack and the Beanstalk. Witness a funny and entertaining adventure for all the family to enjoy. Tickets available from the box office or online – you can’t pay in magic beans though!

PS: if you haven’t sorted your NYE plans yet, there’s still time to grab a ticket to one of these events.
